There are advantages to this scooter, It definitely helps my mobility, but the gears could be dangerous. It lurches ahead to a high speed with no warning. Sometimes it is also slow to stop. I have had mine replaced with another, but it seems to be characteristic of this particular model. If I had it to do over again, I would make a different choice. In addition, this scooter tips easily and I almost fell more than once. I would probably get a 4-wheel for better safety if I had it to do over–or maybe another brand period. Overall I do NOT recommend this scooter if you have a better choice available to you.
